Because of you, we had a heartwarming Mother’s Day! There were more than 50,000 people walking throughout the country, all touched by breast cancer in some way. Breast Cancer Network of Strength depends on this incredible event to help deliver free programs and services 24/7 to women and men facing this disease. Remember that the steps you took  with us on Mother’s Day have impacted someone’s life.  In fact, for every $50 you raised we are able to be there right now for someone who has just been diagnosed.

Virtual Walk Details

2010 is the start of a new decade and a new era.  Therefore, we are pleased to announce the launch of a virtual walk in select Walk to Empower locations instead of an on-location event. The virtual walk gives you a convenient and easy opportunity to support those facing breast cancer and allows us to focus all of your generous fundraising dollars on our free of charge programs and services. Chattanooga provides YourShoes™ 24/7 Support Center staffed by trainer peer counselors who are breast cancer survivors, an Emergency Fund with financial assistance for clients in treatment, Support Groups including a therapy group for persons with recurrent and metastatic disease, a Breast Cancer Educational Series and a prosthesis and bra bank.

Even though we won't have an official Walk on Mother's Day in the Greater Chattanooga area, we encourage you to register and fundraise to help provide breast cancer support today! Get out and walk with your family and friends around Mother's Day weekend. You can celebrate your Walk effort by hosting a Mother's Day brunch, plan a mini-walk in your neighborhood, get together for a Sunday afternoon picnic, or don't even lace-up your shoes - just send you support!
