Breast Cancer Network of Strength's Walk to Empower celebrates its 19th year promoting its mission to ensure, through information, empowerment and peer support, that no one faces breast cancer alone. The Walk inspires and empowers all who attend. It's a perfect way to honor survivors, commemorate a loved one and pay tribute to those who are no longer with us.
We held Walk to Empower events in 13 cities on Mother's Day, 2010, as well as our Virtual Walk to Empower for those across the country who couldn't attend one of our onsite events. Participants in our Walks could create a team, set up their own personal web page or team page, fundraise online and track their progress, e-mail friends and family for support, compete against teams in other cities, and host fundraising events, all to help us ensure that no one faces breast cancer alone.
